Dr. Raghavan Rangarajan, a Reader in the Theoretical Physics Group at the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, India has been associated with the college education system in Ahmedabad for over five years now. He has played an active role in bridging the gap between the teaching imparted in the colleges and a focused, hands-on approach towards Physics by the Advanced B. Sc. program that has trained many students of Physics to learn Physics by understanding and hard work and not by rote. Here is a link to his homepage. He obtained his Bachelor degree from Princeton University and his Ph. D. from University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) under the guidance of Prof. Mark Srednicki. He joined PRL in 1998.
